Since the doors first opened, Dwyer Insurance Agency has been about more than policies—it’s about people. Founded to meet the real needs of our neighbors and community, we remain fiercely independent, proudly local, and committed to making insurance feel less complicated, more human.

A Legacy in Every Brick

The Beathard Dwyer Professional Building stands with timeless grace in the heart of London, Ohio. More than just an office, it’s a living piece of community history—built in 1872 by Dr. William D. Williams as a private Victorian Italianate home and transformed across generations into a place where meaningful work and personal service thrive.


Over the years, the home changed hands and character—from the creative touch of Foster Beery (who famously carved a window into the south wall for a better view of downtown) to the dedicated transformation by Maurice and Nancy Beathard and Paul M. Dwyer in 1967. Alongside their seven sons, they lovingly converted the structure into a professional building, excavating below to add offices while preserving the upper floors’ original elegance.


Today, the building’s wrought iron fencing, gas lamps, flower beds, and quiet courtyard tell a story of care, craftsmanship, and continuity. With all three floors now hosting professional offices—including ours—the Beathard Dwyer Professional Building is more than preserved history. It’s a cultural heirloom, stewarded by the Beathard and Dwyer families and offered back to the community with pride.

Meet the People Behind the Policy

  • Ashley Winebrenner

    Ashley (Beathard) Winebrenner, CISR, is following in the tracks of her great-grandfather and her father by joining the team at Dwyer Insurance Agency, Inc.


    She is a graduate of London High School (class of 2002) and The Ohio State University (class of 2006 majoring in Marketing and Textiles & Clothing).


    Ashley prides herself in providing excellent service for all our customers, both individuals and businesses. Her commitment to service and putting customers’ needs first is a winning combination for our insureds.


    In 2012, Ashley quickly progressed as a producer of auto and home insurance after obtaining her Property & Casualty license. She earned her CISR designation in 2019 and is excited to continue her education by completing the CISR Elite program. In 2024, she also received her Health and Life license and is passionate about helping people find affordable life insurance to protect their families when the insured is no longer with us.


    Ashley specializes in Car, Home, Umbrella, and Life Insurance. Her ability to quote insurance with accuracy and her strong dedication to customer service makes her an asset to Dwyer Insurance Agency, Inc.

  • Bill Beathard

    William H. Beathard, CIC, began his insurance career January, 1977. He continued in his grandfather’s footsteps and took over the reins of operating the Dwyer Insurance Agency, Inc., started by Paul M. Dwyer, in 1931.


    Bill, still attending The Ohio State University, worked full time at the agency while finishing his degree. He graduated in 1979 with a BSBA, majoring in Insurance & Risk Management.


    Believing that education is extremely important to the insurance industry, Bill continued his studies and was designated a certified insurance counselor in May, 1983. In 2017, he was recognized by The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors for over 35 years of commitment to the insurance industry.


    Bill is now the sole owner/operator for The Dwyer Insurance Agency, Inc., which is the oldest “family operated” agency in Madison County. They write a full line of insurance for property, liability, auto, home, business, life & health, bonds and group insurance. In 2012, Bill’s daughter, Ashley Winebrenner, began her career in the agency.
